From the M4 Motorway

Leave the motorway at junction 18 and follow the signs south to Bath on the A46. Turn onto the A4 at the large roundabout on the outskirts of Bath. Follow the sign towards the city centre. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights (ignoring the light controlled pedestrian crossingsand the entrance to Morrisons Supermarket). The road will be signposted A4 Bristol. At the next set of traffic lights follow the road right towards Bristol, do not turn left onto the A36 towards Warminster. At the next roundabout, next to a church turn left. You will then be on Bathwick Hill.

About 300 yards up the hill you will see “The Moorings” a new retirement home on your left and a row of shops on your right. The entrance to Sydney Wharf is along the passageway to the right of the front door into 'The Moorings'. Look out for the two brown 'Bath Narrowboats' signs fixed to the street lamps to show you the way in.

Regrettably we can only park cars off road or by special permit by prior arrangement. Parking is not always easy on the roads surrounding Sydney Wharf so please watch the time allowance shown on the signs adjacent to the street parking bays.



From Bristol and the M5

Leave the M5 at junction 18 and follow the signs to Bath A4 through Bristol, Keynsham and Saltford to Bath. Stay on the A4 around the outskirts of Bath. The railway will cross the road twice. There are traffic lights at the second crossing, stay on the A4 at this point but turn right at the next roundabout and up Bathwick Hill

From Warminster and the South

Follow the A36 from Warminster to Bath. Bear right at the bottom of North Road, still following the A36, to the junction with the A4. Turn left onto the A4 (signposted Bristol). Take the first exit at the next roundabout onto Bathwick Hill.
