The John Rennie Luxury Restaurant Boat ~ Basic Charter Hire Prices 2012
Chartering the “ John Rennie ” allows you the exclusivity of having your own fuelled restaurant boat with skipper, crew & chefs in total privacy at your disposal.
A private charter cruise allows you to tailor make your event to your specific requirements whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary or company party. Your charter is unique and you can select the most appropriate route, duration, catering, entertainment and theming options..
We have a choice of routes and duration from as little as 2.5 hours to 8 hours. The 2.5 hr cruises are a great introduction to the canal but all too often the time slips by too quickly.
With this in mind, we recommend the 4 hour or longer cruises which allow more time for entertaining just like if you were eating & entertaining at home or in a restaurant.
Don't be afraid to ask us about any aspect of your event, we have managed hundreds of charters and are happy to give you the benefit of our advice and experience.
What we do recommend is for you to prebook the date you are interested in as soon as possible especially if it's a personal important date.
Details about catering, table plans, music, decoration etc can be planned at a later stage.
Our prices are based on :
LOW SEASON ( L ) which are the months of January / February / March / April / October / November & December
MID SEASON ( M ) which are the months of May & September
HIGH SEASON ( H ) which are the months of June / July & August
FOUR PRICES are listed concurrently and represent Monday to Friday daytime, Monday to Friday evening, Saturday day & evening , Sunday day & evening
Our operating hours are from 8 a.m till 12 midnight and we are the only commercial restaurant boat allowed to operate at night along the canal.
For any Wedding Celebration there is a supplement of £200 to all charters.
Full package prices for events will be quoted upon application.

THE ANGELFISH RESTAURANT
Our sister restaurant to the 'John Rennie' is the Angelfish Restaurant based at the Somerset Coal Canal Visitor Centre near Dundas. It is easily accessed and is next to the Limpley Stoke Viaduct on the A361, 5 miles south of Bath.
Some of our clients and guests have used the restaurant as a starting or ending point as part of their celebrations.
For example, we have had parties leave Bath on the 'John Rennie' with canapes, champagne and food, arriving at Dundas, walking a short distance to the Angelfish restaurant , continuing on and having an outside barbecue buffet & desserts.
Both the ' John Rennie' and the Angelfish are exclusive to the clients allowing you to entertain privately.
We also have had clients entertain in the opposite direction by starting at the Angelfish Restaurant and then using the John Rennie for further entertainment and transport to Bath from Dundas.
If you are interested in further information on these entertainment & menu packages, don't hesitate to contact Claire or Lionel by email / telephone at Bath Narrowboats, Gourmet Delicious or The Angelfish Restaurant.
